I’m going to show you how to make a simple air fryer boneless chicken breast recipe today. This air fryer chicken dish will give you juicy, tender chicken that you will adore.

This isn’t the kind of crispy chicken you’d get from a bread crumb-coated chicken breast.

Garlic powder, onion powder, olive oil, salt, and pepper are used in this healthy version.

This recipe for juicy air-fried chicken breasts is a game-changer. The air fryer ensures that the chicken is cooked evenly and in a short amount of time.

How to make Boneless Chicken Breasts in the Air Fryer

  1. Prepare the Chicken Breasts on a cutting board with a chef knife in the oven.

In my chicken salad recipe sans celery, this chicken is the best.

1 pound of chicken breast

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 tbsp powdered garlic

1 tablespoon powdered onion

paprika, 1/2 tbsp

1 teaspoon of salt

a half teaspoon of black pepper

To ensure that your chicken cooks evenly, make sure that it is all approximately the same thickness. Cut the chicken breast in half where it begins to taper from the fat end to the thinner end for larger chicken breasts, then butterfly them.

If you have medium-sized chicken breasts, butterfly them to make evenly thin slices of chicken. To butterfly a chicken, cut it along the middle horizontally.

Once you’ve done that with both chicken breasts, you’re ready to season your Air fryer chicken.

I can also demonstrate how to cut up a complete chicken so that you may use the remaining chicken pieces.

  1. Season the boneless chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

To begin, combine all of the seasoning ingredients in a mixing bowl. Garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika are required.

Set aside one tablespoon each of garlic powder and onion powder, as well as half a tablespoon of paprika.

Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and season with a bit of salt and freshly ground pepper. Turn the boneless chicken breasts over and repeat the process on the other side.

Take your spice and liberally sprinkle it over both sides of the chicken.

Prepare to air fry juicy, tender, excellent chicken by placing the seasoned chicken on a roasting pan or air fryer basket.

  1. Turn on the air fryer and preheat it.

Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F. Regardless of the type of air fryer you’re using, ensure sure the chicken is evenly spaced so that the air can freely circulate around it.

  1. In the Air Fryer Basket, cook the skinless chicken breasts.

If you have a spherical air fryer like the Ninja air fryer or the Cosori air fryer, you may just place the chicken in the basket.

If you’re using a Breville air fryer like mine, I prefer to use a wire rack in the roasting pan to keep liquids from falling on the heating parts below.

For this reason, I don’t use an air fryer basket in this recipe.

  1. Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature of the chicken breast.

It’s critical to bring the chicken breast to the proper internal temperature.

The cooking time isn’t crucial, but utilizing a reliable meat thermometer will give you the assurance you need to get the chicken cooked properly and to temperature.

To avoid foodborne illness, the chicken breast should be cooked to 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

Board for cutting

Knife for the chef

1 pound of chicken breast

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 tbsp powdered garlic

1 tablespoon powdered onion

paprika, 1/2 tbsp

1 teaspoon of salt

a half teaspoon of black pepper

Butterfly the chicken breast by slicing it horizontally into two equal-sized pieces.

To make your seasoning, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika and set it aside.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Drizzle olive oil over each piece of chicken and wipe or brush it in to ensure that it is evenly coated. Season each chicken breast with a pinch of salt and freshly cracked black pepper.

Turn them over and repeat the process on the other side. Then thoroughly season both sides of the chicken with your spice.

Place each piece in an air fryer basket or in a roasting pan with a rack inside.

Make sure there’s enough space around the chicken for air to circulate and the chicken to cook evenly.

Place your chicken breast in the air fryer for about 20 minutes, or until it reaches 165 degrees on the inside.

Serve your juicy, delicious air-fried chicken breast with your favorite side dish!
